Go Beyond the Certification<\/span><\/h2>\n

More than ever, teachers are finding that their students have been exposed to trauma. The National Survey of Children\u2019s\u2019 Health found that 35 million children in the United States have faced at least one type of trauma in their childhood. The Childhelp organization found that a report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that suicide was the second leading cause of death among children ages 12-17. As a student of SAU\u2019s Master of Education in Trauma and Resiliency, you\u2019ll learn to help K-12 learners build resiliency and work through personal trauma that affects classroom behavior and performance.
