Mackenzie<\/span>\u00a0Shah graduated with honors from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, a certificate in Clinical Psychological Science, and minors in Global Health Promotion and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures (Arabic language).\u00a0Mackenzie<\/span>\u00a0later earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, concentrating in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, & Substance Use, as well as Global Social Work Practice. She is a Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner who approaches work with clients through a trauma-informed and trauma-responsive lens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mackenzie<\/span>‘s professional experience spans community mental health, multidisciplinary therapeutic clinics, academic and refugee support programs, and global health initiatives. She has provided therapy to adults, adolescents, and children in behavioral health settings, supported children in outpatient therapy clinics, and developed psychoeducational materials to increase access to mental health care during the COVID-19 pandemic. With a passion for culturally responsive and globally engaged practices,\u00a0Mackenzie<\/span>\u00a0also integrates her studies and experience with global well-being initiatives to promote empowerment and resilience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
